Camp BEAR
Stars Align Therapy and The Nature of Neurodiversity are teaming up to host Camp Buddies Exploring and Regulating.
Who should attend Camp BEAR?
Campers who are developmentally around 5-8 years old.
Campers who would benefit from a little extra time with a speech therapist and/or an occupational therapist.
Campers who would benefit from some regulating time in nature with other awesome kids.
Campers who are working on building friendships, authentic social interactions, and perspective taking.
Campers who are working on building emotional and sensory regulation skills along with self-advocacy and problem solving skills.
Why you should choose Camp BEAR:
The outdoor setting allows for natural and experiential learning and has been shown to have mental health benefits such as decreasing stress and anxiety.
Camp BEAR is led by two neurodiversity affirming pediatric therapists. One is a speech therapist and one is an occupational therapist.
At Camp BEAR we keep our ratios super low, with a maximum of four campers per session! This allows us to mindfully ensure enjoyable social experiences for all campers.
Each daily adventure will include thoughtfully curated activities with the campers interests and goals in mind.
Camp BEAR is a fun and therapeutic way to use ESA+ funds.
No extra supply or registration fees.
Pre-requisites for group participation:
Independence with bathroom management.
Completion of an intake form.
A quick 15 minute call with the camp leaders, so we're confident everyone's needs are met.
Please follow the link below to complete the interest form. That will allow the camp leaders to reach out to help get your camper paired up into the correct group and get them registered.
